Puppy Socialisation -
Puppy Play Move and Discover
Welcome to Puppy Play move and Discover - a unique socialisation experience for your puppy, young/rescue dog.
WHAT IS IT?
Puppy socialisation is often a misunderstood concept, many believe that to socialise their puppy they simply need to allow there dog to play with as many dogs and people as possible. Unfortunately interactions with other dogs and people is only a small part to your dogs socialisation.

Socialisation is more about new and novel experiences done in a rewarding way, so yes interacting with other puppies/dogs/humans is important. But interacting with everyday life experiences through your dog's senses is also very important.

This sensory field has been set up so that each of your dogs 8 senses are worked, this includes: -

-
Touch - moving across different common surfaces that your puppy might come across in real life
-
Smell & Taste - Different Herbs and plants, along with novel animal bedding smells, wood, feathers etc
-
Hearing - novel noises for your dog to interact with, either through toys that make interesting noises and a sounds for life CD playing common noises that your dog may not be familiar with.
-
Sight - New and novel sights, such as a road works area, high viz workwear, play tunnels etc.
-
Proprioceptive skills - developing your dogs limb co-ordination (body awareness) over new surfaces and objects, e.g. tyres, climbing area, ramps, tunnels
-
Vestibular balance - balance over various novel obstacles
-
Introception - How the dog feels i.e. emotions, by learning what your dog is communicating to you, we can support them so that the experiences are kept positive and rewarding to the puppy.
